 Queen: Piper Gann

A junior at Guthrie High School, Piper Gann brings a quiet strength and thoughtful leadership to her role as 89ers Day Queen. Active in FFA, cross-country, and competitive speech, Piper has earned accolades in horse evaluation and livestock judging — but it’s her heart for service that defines her reign. “To me, being the Eighty-Niner Day Queen is stepping forward with purpose, grace and leadership,” Gann said. “Even a limited and quiet presence can create lasting change. ”Piper will represent Guthrie throughout the year, appearing at civic events, leading the parade and rodeo, and helping promote the celebration’s unique blend of history and community spirit. “It’s truly a one-of-a-kind experience where we celebrate our past, enjoy our present and look forward to the future,” she said. “There’s something for everybody.”

 Princess: Maggie Ferguson

At just 12 years old, Maggie Ferguson steps into the role of 89ers Day Princess with pride and poise. A sixth-grade homeschool student, Maggie is deeply connected to Guthrie’s legacy — her family participated in the original Land Run of 1889. “I was born and raised in Guthrie,” Ferguson said. “I have family members who participated in the 1889 Land Run. It’s always been a big part of my history and my heritage.” Maggie is active in 4-H, rides her horse Pedro, and participates in the Western Heritage club, where she studies history and practices live-fire shooting. She’s especially excited to ride in the parade and rodeo — and hopes to inspire others through her role. “I hope to represent a positive role model and someone who is very informative on what the 89ers Day celebration is about,” she said.

Annual Chuck Wagon Feed and Auction!

Get ready for a rootin’ tootin’ good time at our Annual Chuck Wagon Feed and Live Auction. Doors open at 4:30 and the food and fun begins at 5pm, and you wont want to miss the silent auction at 7pm! Tuesday, April 14th, 2026, at the Logan County Fairgrounds. See you there!

 

 

 

89er 5K

Was “run my first race” on your list for 2026? Then get ready for our 89er 5K!

Join us Saturday, April 18th at 9:00 am! The fun starts and finishes at beautiful Honor Park (300 W. Harrison). This event is perfect for ALL ages and fitness levels – whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out! Come join the fun!

BigWheel Race!  

Get ready, little racers! The Guthrie Kiwanis Club is bringing the thrill of the open road to the heart of 89er Days with the Big Wheel Bike Race! On April 17th at 5pm, the corner of Oklahoma and 1st Street will transform into a mini-speedway for pint-sized champions ages 3-7. Imagine the cheers, the laughter, and the pure joy as your kiddos show off their big wheel skills in a fun-filled, family-friendly event! Don’t miss this adorable and exciting highlight of the 89er Days celebration!

FREE Museum Day!

Delve into the rich history of our region during 89er Days! The Oklahoma Territorial Museum, located at 406 E. Oklahoma, is opening its doors for a FREE museum day on Saturday, April 18th, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Explore fascinating exhibits and artifacts that tell the story of Oklahoma’s territorial beginnings. It’s a fantastic opportunity for all ages to learn about our heritage and experience the past firsthand. Don’t miss this chance to immerse yourself in history during the 89er Days celebration!

Geezers,Gassers & Hawgs! 

Rev your engines and join us for a thrilling car and bike gathering on April 17th from 6-9 PM! Cruise down to Oklahoma and Broad St. (in front of Interbank, enter via Broad from the east) for an evening of stunning vehicles, a street music DJ, and fantastic door prizes!

Street Kings Car Show!

Alright, grease monkeys and chrome lovers we have another cool car show to share with you! Dust off your hot rods and cruise on down to the Logan County Fairgrounds on April 18th! It’s the 49th year of the Street Kings Motor Club’s shindig.

Forget the ribbons and trophies, this ain’t no stuffy show. We’re talking pure, unadulterated horsepower, slick paint jobs, and the kind of cool you just can’t manufacture. From 9 ’til 3, it’s all about kickin’ tires, swapping stories, and reliving those golden days of cruising.

No entry fee, just good vibes and even better rides. Think American Graffiti meets small-town charm. So, grab your shades, slick back that hair, and join us for a day of pure, unfiltered automotive bliss. See ya there, cats!

Location: Cottonwood Flats Recreation Area, 308-398 N 5th St, Guthrie, OK 73044.
Schedule: Friday includes check-in, a poker run, and a night cruise, while Saturday features the main show, live music, giveaways, and a swap meet.
Participant Information
Eligibility: Vehicles must be at least 20 years old and have or originally had a tailgate, including various classic trucks and vintage SUVs.
Registration Fees: Pre-registration is $45 until March 31, 2026, and includes entry into a giveaway. Day-of registration is $50. Early bird registration is closed.
